Elaina’s Update

The last couple of weeks have been a pretty big struggle.  Saying good-bye to friends for 6 whole months is a hard thing to do.  It has also been a week to see God’s great provision for our family.  IT IS AMAZING! God has provided more prayer and money supporters, He has helped us find a company to manage our house rental, He has given us fun times with friends at the Sock Hop, Bowling Party, and at Church, He also let us have an awesome time at House Church last night where we were prayed over as a family.  Yesterday at church I saw our family up on the TV.  I thought that was pretty awesome too.  It is becoming more and more real everyday! WE REALLY ARE GOING TO NICARAGUA!

We are getting ready everyday.  Seems like every single day we have some sort of appointment or chore to take care of.  Some are fun, and some are not, some are short, and some seem to take all day long.  Dentist, eye doctor, haircuts, cleaning, packing, more cleaning, re-packing, making support books, writing letters, writing thank you cards, and more cleaning.  And, thank the Lord, always some time to play!

We have two weeks before we get on the airplane.  I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are the prayer requests we came up with as a family last night:

1.  For Demi (our property manager) and our house to be rented soon

2.  For our insurance claim (November’s Water damage) to be finalized before we leave.  We are still waiting for the final check to clear and be mailed to us.

 3.  For Family Unity – With such a short amount of time left, we realized we are all being a little selfish with our individual wants and with how we spend our time

4.  For Fundraising – just $5,000 to go!

5.  To be attentive to our teachers & not disruptive in class when we really just want to talk and hang out with friends

6.  For Mom’s trip to San Diego and for us here with out her

7.  For the cards from our new Charles Schwab account to get here in time

 8.  For the rest of the documents we need for our taxes done, so we can get everything turned in as soon as possible

9.  For final decisions

10.  To keep experiencing peace
