Walking On Holy Ground

There really is something about Christian Camps that makes me want to take my shoes off.  Being in the space where so many lives have been touched for Christ, makes the ground holy.  Last week our family was super blessed to visit La Finca – a Vida Joven (Young Life) Camp in between Jinotega and Matagalpa.  Danny and Ann Sharpe (Vida Joven Staff) were gracious to host us, and our time with them was far too short! As a family, we love camp, and so we felt right at home! One of the both creative and practical things about this camp is that they are also a working Coffee Farm.  I say it is practical (even though to many of you reading this it may seem quite unique) because this camp is located smack in the middle of Nicaragua’s prized coffee country.  There were already coffee trees on the land when it was purchased by Young Life and it has been a great way to fund raise in the years since.  “Drink a cup of coffee…send a kid to camp” – Who wouldn’t get on board a campaign like this! Enjoy a quick glimpse of this Holy place!
