Sharing the book that Silas Wrote

Silas lives in Fort Collins, CO, but we have never met him.  He came to Nicaragua with his family and was inspired during a visit to the San Juan del Sur library to write his own book.  He went home, wrote his story, had it translated into Spanish, and printed! By the time we arrived here in February, Jane Mirandette, founder of the library had copies in hand for us to share in both schools and at the library.  We came up with an activity to go along with the story and off we went to share them both.  To date we’ve read his book to well over 200 kids! There really is something so inspiring to kids when they discover a kid just like them wrote the very book that they are reading! Thanks Silas!
