The Borden Family – on a sailing adventure in Nicaragua!
May 2013

We are the Borden family! Home in Colorado now after spending 6 incredible months serving and loving in Nicaragua.  People often ask us “What’s next?”, and to be honest, we don’t know! We loved living internationally, we loved serving as a family, we loved, we loved, we loved!  We could easily see ourselves back in Nicaragua for an extended period.  EASILY!

For now, we are back in Colorado.  Wes is a senior in High School, so we are trying to figure out how to do this year really well with him.  We are engaging in local ministry opportunities through our church (Council Tree Covenant Church), through serving at a local homeless shelter run by Catholic Charities, in our schools, and in our neighborhood.

We continue to financially support ongoing projects and individual missionaries in Nicaragua.  We are also still raising funds for a complete roof repair for a family living near San Juan del Sur (an additional $500 is needed).  Interested in giving, simply shoot us an email, and we can share several opportunities with you!  :-)

Update:  Diane and Olivea (at least) are headed back to Nicaragua this spring!  For early details of this trip and special project,  please read Olivea’s blog post:  Introducing the Oli-Bo-Bolly Dolly.  Easily found under December blogs right here on this web page!
